InterLibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a service provided to assist library users in obtaining materials and/or resources which are not available in O'Kelly Library. The Interlibrary Loan process takes seven to ten business days. Persons should exhaust all services and resources in O'Kelly Library prior to requesting interlibrary loan. City Patrons, Co-operative Students, and Summer School Students are not eligible for interlibrary loan services.

Interlibrary Loan Policies

  • All WSSU faculty, students, and staff who are in good standing with the library (have no outstanding materials or outstanding charges) are eligible for interlibrary loan.
  • All persons requesting Interlibrary Loan items must complete the Interlibrary Loan form.
  • Patrons should provide all pertinent and relevant information so that the request can be completed.
  • Patrons are advised of the cost for items requested before the request is completed.
  • Patrons are emailed and/or called when materials have arrived.
  • Patrons that do not pick up their interlibrary loan items within seven days will have their interlibrary loan privileges suspended.
  • Interlibrary loan items are checked out for four to six weeks.
  • Renewal requests should be submitted three working days prior to the due date.
  • Patrons who do not return items back at the proper due date can be denied of service privileges.
