A filmography is a list of films centered around a specific person (actor, director, producer) or a specific topic.

Citation Examples

APA

Motion Picture:

Producer, P. P. (Producer), & Director, D. D. (Director). (Date of publication). Title of motion picture [Motion picture]. Country of origin: Studio or distributor.

 

MLA

To emphasize the film, list the films by their title first:

Speed Racer. Directed by Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski, performances by Emile Hirsch, Nicholas Elia, Susan Sarandon, Ariel Winter, and John Goodman, Warner Brothers, 2008.

To emphasize a specific person, such as actor or director, list them first in the citation:

Lucas, George, director. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Twentieth Century Fox, 1977.
